In addition, it called on the supporters of Rahim-Mashaei, who is a top aide of President Ahmadinejad, to organize their activities based on legal methods in order to dishearten the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation.

Tja, die Schwäche der Reformer spiegelt sich auch in der Sitzverteilung im Parlament wieder. Mit Aref und Rohani hat das Reformlager nun zwei eher schwache Kandidaten bei der Präsidentschaftswahl im Rennen. Einer der Favoriten auf den Wahlsieg ist da wie gesagt eher der Teheranter Bürgermeister Ghalibaf der im Gegensatz zu den Reformern zuletzt verstärkt die sozial schwächer gestellten Schichten anspricht. Das dürfte durchaus ein Schlüssel zum Erfolg sein:

Das ist nicht richtig. Nicht Aref sondern Rohani war nach dem Ausschluss Rafsanjanis der offizielle Spitzenkandidat des Reformlagers! Aref dagegen ist in den Umfragewerten schlicht chancenlos und wurde aus diesem Grund von Mohammed Khatami zum strategischen Rückzug gedrängt. Die Berichterstattung der Tagesschau ist daher einfach falsch. Sie vermittelt weiterhin den Eindruck, als seien Kleriker nicht dem Reformlager zuzurechnen. Das Gegenteil ist der Fall, siehe Rafsajnai, Khatami, Rohani, um mal die Prominentesten zu nennen. Auf Seiten der Konservativen ist nicht ein einziger Kleriker im Rennen, dafür Technokraten (Jalili, Velayati) und Militärs (Rezai, Ghalibaf). Wenigstens der Spiegel scheint Rohani als "Reformkandidat" anzuerkennen und rechnet ihm auch gute Chancen zu. Auch wenn er aus dem Umfeld von Rafsandschani kommt, scheint er als eine gemäßtigte Alternative zu den Hardliner zu sein.
Mir persönlich sind aber "Geistliche" jedweder Religion als Staatoberhaupt suspekt. Hier wie im Iran ;-).
Ein Maschinenbauer als Regierungschef ist einfach unersetzlich :lol: .
