Mich wundert immernoch, dass er sich schon so lange hält, obwohl er keinen Rückhalt bei den Mullahs mehr hat.
Chamenei spielt mit ohm, wie mit einer Handpuppe, aber abgesägt hat er ihn halt noch nicht.
Vieleicht sieht er ihn ja als das kleinere Übel. Und man braucht ja wen auf den man die Schuld schieben kann, wenn mal wieder die Unzulänglichkeiten des Systems zutage treten.
Spannend ein Zeuge zu sein, wenn sich die Beurteilung der Lage durch bestimmte User um exakt 180 Grad dreht. Ahmadinejad ist wohl also doch nicht so mächtig, wie ursprünglich angenommen. Und der Klerus also doch einflussreicher als ursprünglich gedacht?!

Trade Sanctioning a Nation of Traders

The word bazaar understood around the world, irrespective of language, describes so much more than a place to come and buy something. It brings thoughts of haggling, bargain finding, tough negotiation, and avoiding being conned. Persians are known for their famous bazaars (where this word originates). The one in Tehran is the largest in the world stretching out for miles.

If there was a prize given out for a country that hast the most sanctions placed on it, Iran would get it hands down. Almost everything is somehow sanctioned, barred, or classified as a dual use item and banned to be sold to Iran. At times a company or entity is sanctioned multiple times. Where there is not currently a sanction, countries use the bully and shame method to push companies from doing business with Iran. Lately, the US is going after foreign shipping firms that ship to Iran's ports. There has been fear that many essential food items like wheat, corn, and sugar could be effected. Planes and plane parts are banned to Iran if it contains an American firms involvement, which translates to almost all plane manufactures (including Russian since they recently use American engine parts). Even items like medical MRI and CT scanners are banned under the "dual civilian military use" definition.
If these multi-layer sanctions were to be effective than Iran would have to look very different than it does today. Unlike countries like, Cuba, North Korea, Zimbabwe, Syria, Iraq, and Sudan, Iran today has a very active economy that trades with many countries. As pressure from Europe and America has increased, business from Iran has migrated to China, Turkey, and Latin American countries. Iran's trade with China as of late has past $30 billion and is set to mark $50 in a few years. Iran's trade with Turkey is also on the rise anticipated to pass $10 billion this year. Walk into any shop in Iran and you will be amazed by the selection of products and items from around the world, even in your local grocery the times the size of a walk in closet. In one tally recently, I found soft drinks from as far as South Korea, China, and Argentina. European and American chocolate bars are brought from Dubai and other Arabic countries (as the Arabic text states). Even ready to make meals from Europe are sold but with Turkish text. Actually, I found not one product that I needed NOT offered in Iran, whether it was American, European or Asian.

Die Zeitung beruft sich auf westliche Diplomatenkreise. Die Lieferung sollte offenbar nach Syrien gehen und war vermutlich für die mit Teheran verbündete Hisbollah-Miliz im Libanon bestimmt. Die radikale Schiiten-Organisation unterhält demnach auch Depots in Syrien. Iran hat in der Vergangenheit immer wieder versucht, die Uno-Sanktionen zu unterlaufen.

Besonders im regionalen Vergleich steht Iran hier gut da. In Westasien, einer Region, die die überwiegend arabischen Westnachbarn Irans wie Saudi-Arabien, Jordanien oder Kuwait umfasst, ging der Trend ausländischer Direktinvestitionen nach unten. Die FDIs dort verzeichneten ein Minus von knapp zwölf Prozent. Damit wurden rund 7,8 Milliarden Dollar weniger Direktinvestitionen aus dem Ausland in die Region geholt.
Auch im globalen Vergleich schneidet die Islamische Republik gut ab. Die weltweiten FDIs stiegen erstmals seit den Höchstwerten von 2007 wieder um 4,9 Prozent (auf 1,24 Billionen Dollar). Damit liegt Iran etwa 15 Prozent über dem globalen Durchschnitt. Im Vergleich der letzten vier Jahre steht Iran mit einem Anstieg von über 100 Prozent einer krisengeschüttelten Weltwirtschaft gegenüber, die von 2007 bis 2010 ein Minus von 37 Prozent verzeichnete.

Schöner Schach Zug.
Diesem und auch anderen Artikeln die ich inzwischen gelesen habe ist zu entnehmen, dass chinesische aber auch russische Unternehmen von der iranischen Seite ausgeschlossen wurden, weil sich die Arbeiten massiv verzögerten. Die Pasdaran und eine Reihe von sonst der ausländischen Konkurrenz ausgesetzten inländischen Unternehmen leben in der 30 jährigen Sanktionspolitik sehr gut davon. Diese würden auch gerne noch viel mehr Projekte bekommen. Irgendwer muss aber das Investitionskapital stellen und von Seiten der USAEUraelis versucht man die Iraner mit großen Anstrengungen daran zu hindern privates ausländisches Kapital anzuziehen. Das war ja letztlich ein ausschlaggebender Grund dafür, die massiven staatlichen Subventionen zu kappen und das Geld z.B. in den Energiesektor zu investieren. Es fließt damit zunehmend mehr Geld zu den Pasdaran.
Der amtierende Ölminister, offenbar ein Lobbyist aus den Reihen der Pasdaran, fordert entsprechende Aufträge für sein Unternehmen:
