Das die sowjetunion schon an ihren rüstungsausgaben zerbrochen ist hat man völlig vergessen . Bloß betrifft es dieses mal nicht nur ein Land sondern einen großen Teil der EU.
Bleibt abzuwarten wer am Ende wirklich so viel Geld ausgeben wird . Spanien hat dieses ja schon abgelehnt. Der italienische Verteidigungsminister hatte die NATO schon vor dem Gipfel für Tod erklärt

Dass die Sowjetunion ein Vielfaches, vermutlich bis zu 20% ihres BIP (Grauzonen reichen noch höher), für die Rüstung ausgab, während sie eine deutlich schwächere und v. a. höchst ineffiziente Wirtschaft hatte, hat man wohl auch völlig vergessen.

Die NATO wird ihr Treibstoff-Pipeline-System (Central Europe Pipeline System bzw. in Teilen auch das North European Pipeline System), das noch im Kalten Krieg aufgebaut wurde, bis nach Polen ausbauen.
