Russia confirms US airstrike in Syria's Al Bukamal following Global Coalition denial

Contradicting these claims, Major General Yuri Popov, Deputy Head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, issued a statement asserting that a multi-purpose drone from the so-called Global Anti-Terrorism Coalition, an MQ-1C conducted the strike from Iraqi airspace without violating Syrian airspace. The target was a cargo truck moving through the region.

Popov stated that the airstrike resulted in casualties among Syrian civilians in the Al Bukamal area.

Additionally, three pro-Iranian militants, including two Iraqis, were killed in an unidentified nighttime airstrike in eastern Syria near the Iraqi border, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The statement noted, "The coordination committee discussed the opportunity granted to the government over four months ago to schedule the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq. The attendees emphasized the need to continue efforts to achieve national sovereignty. This comes after the enemy's procrastination and obstinacy, which has allowed them to remain occupiers of our land, infringers of our airspace, controllers of our security and economic decisions, and interferers in Iraqi affairs with impunity and arrogance, as if they are unaware of what awaits them after this period."

The resistance hinted that "the Iraqi people, its valiant resistance, dedicated politicians, tribal leaders, and members of parliament are capable and determined to resolve this issue and close it using all available means to restore security, stability, and complete sovereignty."

Four months ago, the "Iraqi Resistance" declared a truce and halted operations targeting military bases housing US forces to give the Iraqi government a chance to negotiate the withdrawal of US troops from the country.

Die Verletzung des Waffenstillstandabkommens zwischen den IRI Milizen und den US Truppen könnte als ein Antesten der Kampfbereitschaft der Allianz zu verstehen sein. Gleichzeitig könnte die Strategie der US/Israelischen Kräfte darauf liegen, den Fokus auf die Amerikaner und weg von den Israelis zu richten. Die irakische Allianz könnte Schätzungen zufolge zwischen 120-150k Milizionäre im Irak mobilisieren. Während Befürchtungen bestehen, diese könnten der Hisbollah in einem Krieg gegen Israel zur Hilfe eilen, so können die mangels Reichweite eigentlich niemanden groß schädigen, der sich nicht in direkter Schlagdistanz befindet. Bindet man die Truppen im Irak und Syrien, rennen sie auch nicht in den Golan. So die Idee eventuell.
