Iran team to probe Rezaei's death in UAE

The family of Ahmad Rezaei, the son of a senior Iranian official, has setup a fact-finding team to probe into the suspicious death of their son in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In mid-November, the Emirati police initially reported that the son of Mohsen Rezaei, the current secretary of Iran's Expediency Council and a former presidential candidate, died in a hotel room in Dubai after he took doses of 'neurological medicines.

However, the police later claimed that Rezaei committed suicide with high-voltage power.

Meanwhile, forensic doctors with the Dubai police have said that the son of the senior Iranian official died after he slashed an arm vein.

In their latest account, the police reported that Ahmad's death was caused by an overdose of medication used to fight depression and schizophrenia
