22 Shia pilgrims killed in western Iraq

Unidentified armed men have shot and killed 22 Shia pilgrims in western Al Anbar province, which is located in western Iraq. The attackers stopped the bus carrying the pilgrims at a fake security checkpoint on Monday and forced the women and children out before killing the remaining occupants, the Associated Press reported.

The victims were reportedly coming back from Syria and were on their way to a holy shrine.
