Ex Yu hat auch einen Mehrfach-Raketenwerfer! Nicht zu vergessen, das mit eine Reichweite von 50km war Orkan in dem Balkan-krieg eine moderne Waffe!
The M-87 Orkan is a Yugoslav 12 tube 262 mm MRL that was jointly developed with Iraq in the 80's. This Yugoslavian multiple rocket launcher is also used by Iraq (where it is known as the Ababeel), Bosnia, and Croatia. It is in service in Iraq under the name Ababil-50. The M-87 rocket has a range of about 50 km. This is a heavy rocket launcher in a unique caliber, on a heavy truck chassis. A complete battery consists of 4 launchers, 4 resupply trucks each carrying one set of rockets, a FDC truck with a van body, a light vehicle for surveying, a FIST vehicle (usually a light armored vehicle), and a weather vehicle truck with a van body. The trucks and the light vehicle are all armed with DShKs for the vehicle commanders. Systems used in past had no GPS guidance, but things can change in the future. Furthermore, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia are thinking of further development of this system.
