nachdem sich Indien - was bisher weder für Pakistan noch für die Inder wichtig war - mit modernsten Kampfhubschraubern eindecken will, kommt die nächste Beschaffungswelle - relativ zeitgleich zur Enthüllung der chinesischen J-20, wie mir scheint:

Bharat was supposed to have the Tejas as the mainstay of the IAF. However after spending millions on the project the Tejas is still in the design phase. There are rumblings that the GE engine is to be fitted on the obsolete thirty year old mainframe but critics point out that the GE engine is not suitable for the Tejas. The Bharati Kevari engine was supposed to have been fitted into the Tejas but the Kevari was a colossal failure.
Dropping all pretensions of “indigenousness” manufacturing and local production–the IAF has now announced that it will purchase 250 new FGFA (aka PAKFA in Russia) new jets from Moscow. The wordsmithing remains though it is remains in the vernacular.
