Gehört hier wohl eigentlich nicht rein, aber es gibt auch gerade nichts passenderes zu dem Thema.

Zitat:Iran launches first space tug, sets new record for liftoff playloads
Friday, 06 December 2024 8:18 AM [ Last Update: Friday, 06 December 2024 8:24 AM ]

In a milestone for Iran’s space sector, a space tug domestically designed and manufactured by Iranian experts and technicians has been launched into space aboard a homegrown satellite launch vehicle (SLV).

The Saman-1, along with a CubeSat and a research payload, was successfully sent into space from the Imam Khomeini Space Launch Terminal, southeast of Semnan, on Friday morning using a Simorgh launcher.

The payloads were placed in an orbit around the Earth, with an apogee of 410 kilometers and a perigee of 300 kilometers.

Simorgh is a two-stage SLV with liquid fuel developed by the Iranian Ministry of Defense.

In its eighth launch, the Simorgh set a new record for the liftoff of payloads. During this multi-phase mission, it successfully placed the Saman-1 orbital transfer block and two other research payloads, weighing nearly 300 kilograms, into orbit.

Zitat:Iran unveils electro-optical-guided ballistic missile

Iran's defence minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh unveiled a ballistic missile called the Qasem Basir that has an electro-optical guidance system on 3 May.

In an interview with Iranian television, Brig Gen Nasirzadeh described the Qasem Basir as an upgraded missile with improved manoeuvrability, so it can more effectively evade missile defence systems, and a guidance system that is immune to electronic warfare. He showed a video of a missile that looked like the Shahid Haj Qasem being launched, which included black-and-white footage that appeared to be filmed by its seeker as it descended towards its target, implying it uses an infrared sensor to find its target.

Brig Gen Nasirzadeh was cited in the interview as saying the Qasem Basir also has a new carbon-fibre body that makes it almost invisible to radar. He added that the missile upgrade uses the lessons learned from operations ‘True Promise 1' and ‘True Promise 2', the missile attacks on Israel on 13–14 April 2024 and 1 October 2024 respectively, and that Iranian experts estimate that Iran's enemies will now only be able to intercept fewer than five of 200–300 missiles launched in a future attack.

The Qasem Basir was said to have a range of at least 1,200 km but no figure was given for the size of its warhead.

Zitat:Iran’s reopened underground missile sites show limits of US bombing plan

May 31, 2026
...
But satellite images reviewed by CNN show how Iran has used simple equipment such as bulldozers and dump trucks to counter those costly campaigns — suggesting that Tehran’s missile capabilities can’t be destroyed just by targeting tunnel entrances, experts said.
...
If hostilities do resume, Iran is in position to “continue launching missiles so long as they have launchers and crews, even if production has halted,” said Sam Lair, a research associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies who analyzes Iran’s missile capabilities. “There’s nothing to prevent the launchers from being armed with the ample stockpile of missiles that the Iranians still have.”
...
CNN found that Iran has now unblocked 50 out of the 69 tunnel entrances struck by the US and Israel at 18 underground missile facilities.
...
Iran’s network of underground missile bases, which it began building more than 20 years ago, offers considerable protection to its missiles and launchers. The depth of the facilities, some of which are under hundreds of meters of rock, limit the options the US and Israeli militaries have for attacking the bases.
