Known as the LOCUST program (Low-Cost UAV Swarming Technology), the Navy is developing its ability to launch swarms of autonomous and rapidly-deploying aerial drones from a tube-based launching system, capable of fitting to ships, tactical vehicles, aircraft, and unmanned positions.
