LEVENT Close-In Defense System achieves first successful guided firing.
ROKETSAN’s LEVENT Close-In Air Defense System successfully intercepted its target with full accuracy during its first guided seeker test firing. This marked the system’s first engagement against an aerial target, further reinforcing its role as a critical element of naval self-defense.
Developed by ROKETSAN, LEVENT is designed to provide shipborne self-defense against subsonic and supersonic anti-ship missiles flying at sea-skimming altitudes, as well as aircraft, helicopters, and UAV/UCAV threats. The system features resilience against battlefield jamming and electronic warfare attacks, while its launcher architecture enables the carriage and launch of a high number of guided missiles. LEVENT can be integrated into newly built surface platforms as well as retrofitted onto existing vessels.
