PNS Taimur was launched on 29 January 2021, and the Chinese shipyard completed the ship in 17 months.

Pakistan signed an initial contract for the delivery of two Type 054 A/P frigates in 2017. An additional contract for two more ships was announced in June 2018. According to the contract, all four ships are built in China and the first two are expected to be delivered to the customer by year-end. HZ Shipyard seems to kept its commitment by delivering the second Type 054 A/P frigate on time. [...] They have a length of 134 meters, a beam of 16 meters for a displacement of 4,000 tons.

PNS BABUR, the first of the PN MİLGEM corvettes built by ASFAT for Pakistan’s Navy, is on the high seas.

PNS BABUR (F-280) corvette, the first ship of the PN MİLGEM project, which was started under the contractor of ASFAT A.Ş. in order to increase the capabilities of the Pakistan Navy, was launched. On May 28, ASFAT shared on its official X account, “PNS Babur, the first of the PN Milgem Corvettes built by ASFAT for the Navy of friendly and brotherly country Pakistan, is now on the high seas… May his bow be clear, his rudder be viya, and his wind be easy.”

Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc. (ASFAT), affiliated with the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), achieved the largest single-item defense industry export in the history of the Republic with the PN MİLGEM project. In this context, the contract signed on September 6, 2018 covers the construction of 4 corvettes for the Pakistan Navy. It was decided within the scope of the contract that 2 of the ships would be built in Turkiye and 2 in Karachi, Pakistan.
