DEARSAN Signs New FAC Export Deal with Qatar
DEARSAN signed the Fast Attack Craft (FAC 50) supply contract for the needs of the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces at the DIMDEX fair.
President of Defence Industry Agency Haluk Görgün witnessed the signing ceremony between DEARSAN Chairman of the Board of Directors Aziz Yıldırım and Commander of Qatari Naval Forces Major General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti.
The 50-meter-long FACs will perform asymmetric warfare, patrol, protection of regional waters, fight against maritime piracy, reconnaissance and surveillance, search and rescue, disaster relief operations, border control, and base and port security missions. The FACs will be equipped with three water jets. They will also carry various weapon systems for surface warfare and air defence warfare.
