IRAN HANDS OVER PKK AGENTS TO TURKEY

ANKARA [MENL] -- In a rare move, Iran has extradited Kurdish insurgents to Turkey.

Turkish officials said Iranian authorities have captured operatives from the Kurdish Workers Party who sought haven in neighboring Iran. They said the operatives had been involved in attacks on Turkish targets in southern Turkey.

"The handover reflects improved relations with Iran, particularly in border security," a Turkish official said.
