Der Eurofighter kann meines erachtens nicht die CAS Rolle eines dafür geschaffenen Flugzeugs erfüllen, obwohl er einen sehr guten Jagdbomber abgibt!

Der Harrier ist aufgrund seiner STOVL und CAS Eigenschaften meiner Meinung nach für zukünftige Peacakeeping Operationen der Bundeswehr hervorragend geeignet, da er überall einsetzbar ist und wegen der Einführung von kleineren Bomben(250-500 Pfund Klasse)enorm Schlagkräftig.
Er könnte bei solchen Einsätzen wie z.B. in Afghanistan im Fall der Fälle den nötigen Fire Support liefern, der nötig ist.

Hier nochmal gute Gründe für den Harrier

Litening II precision targeting pod: In Iraq, the Marines had 76 jump-jet AV-8B Harriers, 60 based aboard amphibious ships. During the month of heaviest fighting, they flew 2,182 air-to-ground sorties. Equipped with the Litening II, the Harriers received excellent CAS grades for finding and killing difficult targets. Its advanced airborne laser can light up a target from 15 miles away. RAF Harrier GR7As, part of the Joint Force Harrier based at RAF Cottesmore, are playing a major role in southern Afghanistan. The Harriers, deployed in Afghanistan since September 2004, are constantly engaged in supporting both the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in rebuilding Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom in the south of the country.

It also notes that the squadron's Harrier IIs have only deployed munitions on 13 operations.
