Ich gehe davon aus, dass er sich zur Wahl stellen wird. Da viele Iraner, den Wunsch nach mehr demokratischen Elementen zurückgestellt haben, bzw in der Bevölkerung das Thema Arbeitslosigkeit und Inflation und besseere Beziehungen zum Westen oben anstehen, wird Rafsanjani auch mit großer Mehrheit gewinnen. Davon gehe ich aus. Gilt er doch als Realpolitiker und Wirtschaftsexperte, der mehrfach bewiesen hat sich mit dem Westen arrangieren zu wollen.

Unabhängig davo wird die Umstrukturierung der iranischen Wirtschaft laaangsam aber sicher weiter fortgesetzt :

Paykan Production to End in May

SHAHR-E KORD, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari, May 4--Minister of Industries and Mines said here Tuesday that Paykan cars will go off production by the end of the current Iranian month of Ordibehesht (April 21-May 21).

Es’haq Jahangiri told IRNA that the Renault L-90 models will come into production in the Iranian year beginning March 2006.
He said that the domestic automobile industry needs to expand to become competitive in the international markets.

Referring to Iran’s negotiations with the troubled British Car Manufacturers MG Rover saying, it is customary for capable automobile manufacturers to enter into talks with bankrupt car companies.
He confirmed that Industries and Mines Ministry officials have visited the company headquarters in Britain to be informed of Rover’s terms and conditions. “If conditions are suitable, they will begin negotiations with MG Rover.“

Gov’t to submit 3 key bills to Iran's Majlis
