IRAN, TURKEY IN ANOTHER SECURITY SPAT


NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran and Turkey have failed to resolve their latest dispute over security.

Iran's government has failed to resolve military concerns over an award to a Turkish company to establish Iran's first mobile telephone network. The military and Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps have objected to the award, fearing that Turkey's allies in the West could use the network for espionage.

The IRGC objections have prevented Turkey's Turkcell from launching the multi-billion dollar project. In response, Turkcell has threatened to withdraw from the tender and abandon plans to invest $3 billion in the project.

A commission by the government has approved the IRGC's reservations. The commission has recommended that Turkcell's stake be limited.

Ich würde sagen sehr seriöse Quelle,:misstrauisch: nur hab ich den Eindruck das es sich bei <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.freace.de">www.freace.de</a><!-- w --> um eine Seite linksgerichteten Gruppen handelt. Ich habe überhaupt meine Zweifel ob der Iran im Falle eines israelischen Angriffs auf Atomanlagen mit einem Schlag gegen die US-Flotte im persischen Golf antworten würde. Das wäre erstens selbstmörderisch und zweitens würde der Iran durch eine solchen Schritt international isoliert werden.

Deshalb sage ich nur das das "Wunschdenken linker Grupen sind" die auf die USA eh nicht gut zu sprechen sind.
