LONDON, Feb 5 (IranMania) - A team of French experts will take part in the reconstruction of Arg-e Bam (Bam Citadel) which was ruined in the earthquake of December 26, 2003.
Quoting the French daily, Le Figaro, IRNA reported that the great damage to Bam Citadel was not only a loss to the Iran's cultural heritage but also those of the entire human community since it was one of the unique features of ancient architecture.
"The fortress was built by the Achaemenid rulers 2,500 years ago and was further developed during the Parthian reign. It was the second adobe cultural heritage of the world to be registered by UNESCO after the Chen-Chen building in Peru. It enjoys admirable architecture," Le Figaro said.
