LONDON, Jan 24 (IranMania) – “Although I hold a high opinion of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, I will never withdraw from the upcoming presidential elections to his benefit.” Mohsen Rezai, Secretary of Iran’s State Expediency Council said.
According to the Iranian website of ‘Baztab’, Rezaei emphasized the presence of other candidates including the head of the Expediency Council, Hashemi Rafsanjani cannot make him give up his aspirations for running in the upcoming presidential elections.
He added that his plans for the future are a world apart from those of the former president.
