EU eyes resumption of trade talks

LONDON, Dec 1 (IranMnaia) - EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said Tuesday Iran's promise to suspend uranium enrichment activities can open a "new chapter" in bilateral ties, confirming that the EU will resume trade talks with Tehran.

US says Iran enriching freeze 'not the final step'

LONDON, Dec 1 (IranMnaia) - The United States President George W Bush at a news conference in Canada, reflected the new conciliatory tone, saying Iran's promise to suspend enrichment was a positive step. He said that Iran's freeze was "certainly not the final step" in easing Washington fears that Tehran seeks a nuclear bomb.

"The Iranians agreed to suspend -- but not terminate -- their nuclear weapons program. Our position is that they ought to terminate their nuclear weapons program," Bush said.
