A rising star in Turkey:
Naval Architecture Industry
Closely connected with the vehicle sector, the naval architecture industry has today become a crucial manufacturing sector for Turkey. Having started 600 years ago in the shipyards in Turkey, the sector is now globalizing each day. It necessitates the expertise and cooperation of various fields and has to be exercised in an atmosphere of intense international competition.

Naval architecture could be defined as a general name for the entire shipyard activities. It is clear that if its development is supported and encouraged, creating a considerable source of employment in all the countries, this sector provides serious economic benefits. The reasons why special importance should be attached to the naval architecture industry compared to the other heavy industries can be summarized as follows: naval architecture provides considerable foreign currency inflow, attracts foreign investors, creates a sub-industry comprised of its suppliers, enables technology transfer, carries a strategic meaning for its contributions to the defense of the country, and supports the naval commerce fleet.

In Bezug auf das türkische MILGEM-Projekt, haben sich einige User gefragt ob die türkische Werftindustrie in der Lage sei Korvetten selber zu entwickeln und herzustellen. Aus diesem Grund um einen Überblick über die türkische Werftindustrie zu schaffen Poste ich ein paa Links zu türkischen Werften sowohl Zivil wie auch militärisch.
