LONDON, August 23 (IranMania) - The Committee for Narcotics Abuse Control of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) opens today a session devoted to coordinating efforts among relevant agencies of member states in the fight against drug trafficking, Iran's Official News Agency (IRNA) reported.
According to IRNA's report, representatives from Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan will deliberate on ways of developing a system of exchanging information for the purpose of curbing the activities of international drug traffickers.
Participants in the meeting will also prepare recommendations for the next ECO summit to act upon when it meets in the Tajik capital in September.
