Tehran, June 29, IRNA -- Minister of Interior Abdol Vahed Moussavi
Lari said here Tuesday that the 75 percent increase in the
transportation budget in the fourth five-year development plan (March
2005-2010) provides a solid opportunity for Italian private sector to
cooperate with its Iranian counterpart.
In meeting with visiting Italian Infrastructure and Transportation
Minister Pietro Lunardi, he added that the transportation problems are
major preoccupation of the Iranian officials.
The fourth development plan underscores investments in urban
transportation, notably expansion of Metro system with the latter
assigned dlrs two billion, the interior minister said.
