Renault to export L-90 model to western Europe

Paris, June 2, IRNA -- Managing Director of the French auto-giant
Renault Louis Schweitzer said here Wednesday the company plans to
export L-90 models to western Europe.
Schweitzer told reporters in Paris that given its affordable price
and high technical standards the car will also be marketed in the
western Europe and the company has actually entered a global trade
war. The model is to be manufactured in Iran, Romania, Morocco, India
and Russia. He added the model will be produced in Iran, Russia and Colombia
under the name of Renault L-90 and its production will stand at
700,000 cars by 2010.
He said the basic price of the model will be set at 5,000 euros
and "with extra options for comfort and security, the price tag will
climb higher of up to 8,000 euros depending on the location of the
plant."
