MTU Aero Engines expects the Franco-German-Spanish Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program to evolve to the pursuit of two different aircraft types.

Two aircraft “is the likely scenario right now as we see it,” CEO Johannes Bussmann said April 30. That could necessitate two engine types, he suggested.
