TAYFUN Block 4 and 300 ER Missiles Close to Introduction TurDef
ROKETSAN CEO Murat İkinci stated that the new TAYFUN Block 4 ballistic missile and the 300 ER aeroballistic missile are close to entering service. Murat İkinci speaking to Habertürk TV, gave updates on the new ballistic missile projects TAYFUN Block 4 and the air-launched 300 ER, both set to extend the reach further.
İkinci stated that the hypersonic TAYFUN Block 4 missile is expected to enter serial production phase this year, following successful testing. First publicly displayed at IDEF2025, the Block 4 variant represents the most advanced and the largest iteration of the TAYFUN family with a diameter of 938 mm and a length of 10 m. Other known members of the TAYFUN family are the Block 1 and the longer Block 3, which have a very small time between their first tests.
Additionally, İkinci confirmed that the 300 ER aeroballistic missile, with a maximum range of approximately 500km, is scheduled to enter service this year. This far exceeds the range of the UAV-230 aeroballistic missile, with a range of 150+ km when launched from AKINCI UCAV. The longer range also means that the new missile meant for fighters, in addition to UCAVs, will have a considerably higher speed, as a rule of thumb.
