The aircraft is a modified Gulfstream G550 replacing the older EC 130H. The Compass Call mission is to jam enemy communications, radars, and navigation systems, degrading command and control and supporting SEAD operations.
The last Compass Call activity in the region was observed during Israel’s pager attack targeting Hezbollah.
