GÖKBERK Laser Weapon Gets a Radar Upgrade with AURA 200-G GÖKBERK Laser Weapon fitted with AURA 200-G AESA Radar
ASELSAN integrated the AURA 200-G compact multi-role AESA radar on the GÖKBERK laser weapon system, in place of the legacy AURA 100-G UAV detection radar.
ASELSAN has integrated and tested its AURA 200-G AESA surveillance radar for tactical applications onboard the GÖKBERK laser weapon, replacing the AURA 100-G, known for its use onboard İHTAR C-UAS jammer.
During the test, a high-speed FPV UAV was destroyed at about 1300 m, while another target UAV was destroyed at 1600 m with the help of AURA 200-G radar in turning configuration.
AURA 200-G offers an increased range of 25 km and secondary weapon locating capability against RAM threats, aside from the general advantages of its AESA architecture compared to AURA 100-G.
Thanks to higher end detection and tracking capabilities, the new radar can allow the engagement of faster UAVs such as the turbojet-powered Geran derivatives, which have started appearing more frequently.
Aside from its deployment on GÖKBERK, AURA 200-G can be deployed on tripods (Single, rotating), towed platforms (Quad set for 360-degrees coverage), and light tactical vehicles.
