AKINCI UCAV Test-Fires EREN and ALPAGUT Loitering Munitions TurDef
Baykar’s AKINCI UCAV test-fired two new loitering munitions from ROKETSAN, the jet-powered multirole EREN and propeller-driven ALPAGUT, in the same test.
This test is the first officially announced test for both loitering munitions, with EREN being unveiled during the IDEF25 defence exhibition held towards the end of July 2025. On the other hand, ALPAGUT was unveiled during the SAHA EXPO 2022 exhibition as a joint work between ROKETSAN and STM.
Both loitering munitions were guided to what appear to be coordinates on the sea, likely to validate flight control capabilities.
Additionally, a small pod that appears to be for data link between AKINCI and either one of the loitering munitions is seen on the left wing, next to the EREN loitering munition.
With this test, AKINCI has added two new loitering munition options to its armament. The UCAV previously test-fired Baykar’s KEMANKEŞ 1 loitering munition, which is also jet-powered like EREN but has more emphasis on endurance than speed.

DASAL’s PUHU C100 UAV unveiled in IDEF25 will act as a complement to the smaller PUHU C75 with fast charging and multirole capabilities, including cargo.
PUHU C100, as the new member of DASAL’s multirole UAVs, comes in a compact package despite its payload capacity.
Where PUHU C75 with a payload capacity of 75 kg will be used as a UAV with quick battery changing for recharge, PUHU C75, adopting a sleeker frame but capable of carrying more payload at 100 kg, will have rapid charging capability. The UAV can be charged using AC power lines, including civilian types, or DC batteries.
Operational range varies depending on the mission, with 30+ km and half the distance for one-way cargo and return to base.

ALPİN-2, exhibited during the IDEF25 defence exhibition, has come with a new sling load system and the armament mounting capabilities, including FPV UAVs.
The new version of ALPİN Rotor UAV features a more streamlined fuselage compared to the somewhat more exposed baseline ALPİN. However, the most important part about ALPİN-2 is its new provisions to handle new kinds of payloads.
Firstly, ALPİN-2 features a sling-loading capability that the baseline ALPİN lacks. Sling loading allows for the carriage of cargo that is within the weight limits but too large in volume for conformal carriage. Considering one of ALPİN-2’s main missions is cargo delivery, this represents an important jump in flexibility.
