IDEF25: MARLIN USV Gets ÇAKIR Missiles for Longer Ranges TurDef
ROKETSAN’s ÇAKIR multi-platform cruise missile will be integrated on ASELSAN-SEFİNE MARLIN USV to allow anti-surface warfare operations at longer ranges.

TAIS Shipyards displayed MARLIN USV with four ÇAKIR launchers placed at the back of the hull during IDEF25. Integration work is ongoing for ROKETSAN’s multi-platform cruise missile to allow both land attack and anti-ship usage.

TurDef also learned that the 12.7 mm RCWS on MARLIN will be swapped for a more powerful 30x113 mm one, which is more effective at dealing damage to soft-skinned small boats and other USVs.

Previously, MARLIN was fitted with an eight-round fixed launcher for TÜBİTAK SAGE’s KUZGUN KY solid fuel rocket-powered missile, which will allow engagement at ranges of 15 km with a 15 kg warhead.
