IRGC Base to Complete Major Railroad Project in SE Iran in Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A top military commander forecasted that a large railroad project linking the capital of Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan to the Chabahar port will be completed by the Khatam al-Anbia Construction Base by March 2026.

The major project is being carried out by the Khatam al-Anbia Construction Base, a conglomerate belonging to the IRGC.

Describing the railroad as one of Iran’s most complicated technical projects, the IRGC commander said the route is 730 kilometers long, passes through vast and difficult terrain, and includes tens of bridges and tunnels.

Aus der Luft betrachtet, würde ich ebenfalls auf ausgemusterte Shahed 191 (bzw. Varianten 171, 181, 161, 197, ..) tippen. Dabei handelt es sich um verkleinerte und technisch vereinfachte Nachbauten der US RQ-170 und die werden in Kashan am Flughafen wohl abgestellt und evtl. recycelt.
