The Land Forces Command has successfully completed the acceptance activities of various modernized M60T tanks that increase the defense power of the Turkish Armed Forces. With the modernization process in question, the combat and operational capabilities of tanks have increased significantly. Within the scope of modernization, the existing systems of the tanks were reconsidered, and improvements were made to provide better performance in modern warfare conditions.



The modernization stated in the information shared by the Ministry of National Defense after the Weekly Press Briefing meeting is expected to make a great contribution to the operational capacity of the Turkish Armed Forces. On the other hand, the aim of the modernization is to update the technological infrastructure of the tanks. This step by the Land Forces Command is considered an important step towards achieving the strategic goals of the Turkish Armed Forces, especially in the field. Modernized tanks play an important role in increasing the effectiveness of the Turkish military in the region.
