HHI Launches Philippinean Frigate with GÖKDENİZ CIWS
ASELSAN has confirmed the integration of GÖKDENİZ-100/35SA CIWS on the launching day of the Philippines’ future frigate BRP Miguel Malvar (FF-06). ASELSAN made the confirming announcement on the day of the ship’s launch in ROK, Ulsan. Future Philipinean Frigate BRP Miguel Malvar’s (FF-06) under construction was spotted with a covered CIWS, which was predicted to be GÖKDENİZ-100/35SA 35 mm CIWS due to some matching features like the profile earlier. BRP Miguel Malwar is based on Hyundai Heavy Industries’ HDC-3200 frigate design, and the ships are being built in ROK.
