Basij Commander: Grave Consequences Waiting for US if It Attacks Syria
TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of Iran’s Basij (volunteer) Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi underlined that even the slightest attack by the US on Syria will have dire consequences for Washington on the international scene.
"(Any) attack on Syria will further pave the way for the liberation of Palestine, because the Iranian nation and other regional nations now avoid taking reciprocal action due to international considerations, but any aggression (against Syria) will result in ignoring such considerations and will make them increase their reactions against the US,” Brigadier General Naqdi said on Saturday, pointing to the threats and psychological war launched by the US against the Syrian nation and government.

An Iranian parliamentary delegation has arrived in the Syrian capital Damascus to hold talks with the country’s President Bashar al-Assad.
The delegation, headed by Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Majlis Alaeddin Boroujerdi, left Tehran for Damascus earlier on Saturday.
Spokesman for the committee Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said that one of the messages of the visit was to express Iran’s support for the resistance front.
“The first message is that the Iranian nation and government are against any foreign military intervention in Syria and will make every effort to prevent foreign countries from finding the opportunity to interfere in Syria,” Naqavi Hosseini added.
