INDIA – RUSSIA
India has (once again) expressed interest in leasing another nuclear attack submarine from Russia … AKULA class (tentatively named CHAKRA III) modified to carry vertically launched Brahmos anti-ship missiles … reportedly could be built on the hull of Russian AKULA class submarine IRIBIS that was never completed as funds ran dry after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
