TEHRAN (FNA)- Faction leaders in Gaza said Wednesday that unifying the Palestinian political leadership is a top priority, as thousands gathered in Gaza to mark the 65th Nakba anniversary.
"The Palestinian people have made hundreds of sacrifices during 65 years of Nakba in order to establish a Palestinian state and stick to the right of return," Fatah leader Faysal Abu Shahla told the official Palestinian Maan news agency.
Nasser Salih, a Gaza-based leader with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), said the Palestinian people have stayed firm on their land and insist on the right of return "despite all attempts and efforts to erase Palestinian national identity".

Die Palästinenser haben heute der Nakba gedacht. Nakba, Katastrophe, steht für die Vertreibung arabischer Palästinenser aus dem früheren britischen Mandatsgebiet Palästina aus Anlass der Gründung des Staates Israel 1948.
In Ramallah fand die zentrale Kundgebung der Palästinenser statt. “Das Recht auf Rückkehr dürfen wir niemals aufgeben. Wir müssen dafür kämpfen”, sagte ein alter Mann, der an der Kundgebung teilnahm.
