RUSSIA (Mediterranean Deployment)
MoD update: The deployment will mark “the largest naval exercise in decades … primary goal is to train issues regarding formation of a battle group consisting of troops of different branches outside of the Russian Federation, planning of its deployment and managing a coordinated action of a joint Navy group.”
(rmks: increasingly looks like they are trying to divert from a rather hasty but possibly unfounded “crisis response”, giving the impression that the entire deployment has been thoroughly planned for a long time)
