TEHRAN (FNA)- Officials at Tehran's municipality said they have informed the British embassy in Tehran that it should pay a heavy compensation for cutting over 340 trees in the Qolhak garden in Northern Tehran.

According to the national laws, the embassy should now pay a 1.6-billion-Rial (approximately USD1.25mln) fine for cutting the trees and the garden should be confiscated in the interest of the people.

TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) -- Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has said that the Iranian students’ action against the British Embassy in Tehran accurately reflects the anti-British sentiments of Iranians.
“The students’ action against the British Embassy was a symbol of the public opinion of Iranians,” Larijani told reporters on Wednesday.

“The hasty move in the Security Council in condemning the students’ action was done to cover up the previous crimes of Britain and the United States,” he stated.
“The previous day, a number of students, who were outraged by the British government’s behavior, staged a demonstration in front of this country’s embassy, and some of them entered the embassy compound,” he said, adding, “This rage was a result of several decades of Britain’s imperialistic actions in Iran.

TEHRAN (FNA)- EU foreign ministers shocked the world when they announced measures to support the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) after they failed to reach an agreement to impose an oil embargo against Iran.
Crisis-hit Greece has said 'No' to an EU oil ban on Iran, causing relief among other member states. Britain and France, the most hawkish EU countries, failed to convince other member states to impose oil embargos on Iran.
