TEHRAN, Oct. 9 (MNA) – Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili visited the holy city of Qom on Thursday and briefed grand ayatollahs Ali Safi Golpaygani, Naser Makarem Shirazi, Hossein Nouri Hamedani, Abdollah Javadi Amoli, Jafar Sobhani, and Abdolkarim Mousavi Ardabili on Iran’s talks with the 5+1 countries in Geneva.
In separate meetings with the ayatollahs, Jalili said Iran entered the talks with a “clear logic” and brought the country’s package of proposals into focus.

The Grand Ayatollahs expressed satisfaction over the talks and provided some pieces of advice for the continuation of the talks.
They also wished the Islamic Republic of Iran’s negotiators good luck.

BANDAR ANZALI, Oct. 9 (MNA) -- The Caspian Sea issue and related matters constitute the most “specialized and technical” part of Iran’s foreign policy, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Thursday.
The Caspian Sea is a key part of Iran’s national interests, Mottaki said in Bandar Anzali, Gilan Province during a one-day meeting on the Caspian Sea legal regime, which has still not been finalized.
He went on to say that Iran wants a fair share of the sea’s resources and will not allow any country to conduct any exploration for or extraction of energy resources in Iran’s 20 percent share of the sea until the legal status of the Caspian Sea is determined.
