Dass Israel kein Interesse am Frieden hat ist soweit klar. Muss es aber ja auch nicht unbedingt. :wink: Und auch wenn ihr beide das ungerne hören werden, aber dass Israel sein Spiel noch lange so betreiben kann, halte ich für fraglich. Die Rückendeckung der USA ist den Israelis ja nicht mehr sicher. AIPAC hat zwar weiterhin noch enormen Einfluss auf die US-Politik, aber dagegen regt sich ja zunehmend öffentlicher Widerstand. Dass Liebermann und Bibi gerne verbal auf den Putz hauen, begünstigt diese Lage ja eigentlich nur zusätzlich.

The United Arab Emirates has called for exhorting Israel-- the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Mideast -- to sign the nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

UAE envoy to the UN Ahmed Al-Jarman said the long-running hope of creating a nuclear free Middle East would not come true unless Tel Aviv joins the nuclear pact and puts its nuclear program open to inspections.
