Pirates seize British cargo ship in Gulf of Aden

(CNN) -- A British-owned cargo ship on Monday became the latest vessel to be seized by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden. The 32,000-ton Malaspina Castle was taken early on Monday and was believed to be heading towards Somalia's pirate-infested coast, the European Union's Horn of Africa maritime security center said. The vessel, which is operated by an Italian company, carried a crew of 24, from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia and the Philippines, Britain's Telegraph newspaper reported.

Containerschiff gekapert

21 Amerikaner entführt

Erneut haben die Piraten vor Somalia zugeschlagen. Vor der Küste des afrikanischen Landes haben sie ein Containerschiff mit 21 Amerikanern an Bord gekapert. Das gab das Maritime Security Centre bekannt. Die Amerikaner seien unverletzt. Das IMB Piracy Reporting Centre bestätigte ebenfalls, dass ein Schiff entführt worden sei.
