Zu türkisch "Çelik Kubbe" und auf deutsch "Stählerne Kuppel" genannt ist ein mehrschichtiges, KI gestütztes integriertes Luftverteidigungsnetzwerk in dem unterschiedliche Sensoren miteinander vernetzt sind. Dieses Luftverteidigungsnetzwerk besteht aus Waffensystemen kurzer, mittlerer und großer Reichweite und soll Bedrohungen durch Flugzeuge, Drohnen, ballistischen Raketen, Marschflugkörpern und Hyperschallwaffen entgegenwirken.

Die Türkei entwickelt ein mehrschichtiges Luftverteidigungssystem namens „Stahlkuppel“ (Çelik Kubbe) .

Das Projekt wurde im August 2024 unter der Leitung von Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan genehmigt.

Es ist ein integriertes Netzwerk aus Sensoren, Waffen und künstlicher Intelligenz, um Bedrohungen wie Raketen, Drohnen und Flugzeuge abzuwehren.

Türkische Rüstungsunternehmen wie Aselsan, Roketsan, TÜBİTAK SAGE und MKE und andere beteiligt.

Das System umfasst vier Reichweiten (sehr kurze, kurze, mittlere und große Reichweite) und soll bestehende Systeme wie KORKUT, HİSAR und SİPER GÖKBERK (Laser) GÜRZ integrieren.

Siper 1 Achieves Full Autonomous Battery Firing Test TurDef
Siper 1, Türkiye’s indigenous long-range air and missile defence system, has successfully carried out its first autonomous battery firing under the control of the Turkish Air Force at the Sinop Test Range. The test, held on 16 November 2025, marked a new threshold for the country’s multi-layered air defence architecture, known as the “Çelikkubbe” (Iron Dome).



The firing involved only battery-level components of the system: the Fire Control Centre, Fire Control Radar, Missile Launch System and the full-capability missile itself. The scenario included simultaneous friendly and hostile target aircraft to validate Siper 1’s autonomous decision-making, tracking and engagement functions under realistic operational conditions.

EDEX 2025: Steel Dome and Radar Offer from ASELSAN TurDef
ASELSAN displayed the Steel Dome Integrated Air Defence System and various radar systems, including MURAD 110-A, during the EDEX 2025 defence exhibition.

ASELSAN at EDEX 2025, like during other recent exhibitions, displayed the Steel Dome (Çelik Kubbe) IADS with all of the planned systems as well as various radars, including MURAD 110-A and ALP 110-G.



During the exhibition, TurDef learned that MURAD 110-A and ALP 110-G are the export variants of the MURAD 100-A and ALP 100-G radars. This separation was not observed for tactical-level radars like FULMAR 200-A AESA SAR pod and FULMAR 500-A multi-role AESA radar for aircraft.

In a recent article on integrated air defence and the future threats, ASELSAN expressed interest in the development of space-based lasers and kinetic systems.

The article published by ASELSAN as Integrated and Layered Air Defence: Operational Requirements and a Perspective on the Future gives a hint at one of the directions ASELSAN might be taking for defence against ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles.

The article’s section on the new threats underlines the idea of space-based laser weapons and kinetic interceptors to defend against new types of ballistic missiles and hypersonic weapons, against which current systems are not quick enough to react.

Roketsan hat erwähnt das sich die Siper Block 3,4 und 5 in der Entwicklung befinden. Das KI gestützte Flugabwehrsystem Celik Kubbe wird damit in der Lage sein in Zukunft Bedrohungen wie ballistischen Raketen ausserhalb der Atmossphäre entgegenzuwirken.

Aselsan KORKUT-100/35 Einzelrohr-35-mm-Flugabwehrsystem für niedrige Flughöhen. Kann von einem Fahrzeug abgenommen und in stationärer/gezogener Konfiguration eingesetzt werden.

Ich war schon immer der Meinung das von Korkut eine Variante notwendig war um stationäre Ziele zu schützen, z:B Kasernen, Häfen oder Luftwaffenstützpunkte. Korkut 100/35 bietet ähnliche Fähigkeiten wie das deutsche Mantis und eigenet sich gut zur Abwehr von Kamikaze Drohnen oder Marschflugkörper im Nahbereich.

KORKUT 100/35 SB as the New Member of the KORKUT SB Family
ASELSAN has listed the KORKUT 100/35 SB palletised air defence system with a 35 mm cannon that can be used fully mobile or deployed for static use from trucks.

Truck-mounted KORKUT 100/35 SB, using a single 35 mm revolver cannon, previously shown with rough scaled models on multiple occasions, has been put on ASELSAN’s website with more details.

In contrast to the KORKUT SPAAG family with twin airburst-capable 35 mm revolver cannons, KORKUT 130/35 SB, using a single revolver cannon, opens space for extra systems and is available for 6x6 trucks.

KORKUT 100/35 SB’s notable feature is that it is a standalone system mounted on a detachable pallet, meaning that it can be used in a mobile configuration or the platform can drop the system off a location to be kept under protection.

ASELSAN will deliver new systems to the Turkish Armed Forces.

The weekly press briefing of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense was held this week at ASELSAN’s Gölbaşı Technology Campus, which operates in the fields of Radar, Electronic Warfare, Air Defense, Command and Control, Weapon Systems, and Naval Systems, and which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. During the briefing, it was announced that ASELSAN will deliver new systems to the Turkish Armed Forces. The statement included the following remarks:

“ASELSAN, whose thousands of products are actively used by the Turkish Armed Forces, continues to deliver new radar and air defense systems of critical importance for the protection of the ‘Blue Sky’ (Gök Vatan) to the TAF. In addition to the Portable Early Warning Radar System ALP 300-G and the Low-Altitude Radar ALP 100-G, which were inducted into the inventory in recent months, another ALP 100-G radar will be added to the inventory next week.

In addition to the SİPER systems already in service, one more Long-Range Area Air and Missile Defense System (SİPER) will be inducted before the end of the year. Likewise, in addition to the HİSAR-A systems currently in the inventory, the delivery of a number of HİSAR-A systems is planned for next week. Furthermore, a number of 35 mm Modernized Towed Guns under the Very Short-Range Air Defense System will also be added to the inventory next week.”

Turkish MoD stated that ASELSAN’s ALP 100-G multirole AESA radar, alongside extra HİSAR-A, SİPER, and KORKUT 130/35 air defence systems, will enter the Turkish Armed Forces inventory soon.

ALP 100-G to act as the jack of all trades within the Steel Dome IADS will be delivered soon to the Turkish Army alongside HİSAR-A low altitude air defence system, SİPER long range air defence system, and KORKUT 130/35 modernised 35 mm towed anti-air guns using ATOM 35 ABM and automated mechanism.

The S-band ALP 100-G is a complementary radar to the long-range warning radars like ALP 300-G to cover different altitudes against the generic threat set or perform weapon location depending on the mode of operation. The radar with a range of 185+ km is rapidly deployable on a 8x8 truck.

The most important contributions of ALP 100-G will be, without a doubt, an optimised mode for low altitude targets (Especially cruise missiles and helicopters) and weapon location mode with extra trajectory prediction capability against RAM threats for counter-fire. Through the network, ALP 100-G can be included to assist various air defence systems from Steel Dome. The radar is also available for export users in the ALP 110-G variant, like the MURAD 100-A AESA radar for fighters offered as MURAD 110-A.
